Jean-Pierre Beicht est né le 22.4.1869 dans le quartier Grund de Luxembourg-ville. Très tôt, le jeune homme était attiré par la musique et il décida également très tôt de devenir musicien professionnel. Il débuta ses études au Conservatoire de Luxembourg avec Jean Antoine Zinnen comme professeur. En outre il apprit l’orgue sur l’instrument de l’église St. Michael. Il poursuivit ses études ensuite à Leipzig. Après la mort d’André Oberhoffer, il obtint le poste convoité d’organiste de la cathédrale de Luxembourg, poste qu’il allait occuper pendant trente et un ans. Jusqu’en 1908, il forma également les garçons qui chantaient dans la chorale mixte. Depuis 1904, Jean-Pierre Beicht était professeur à l’Athénée. Au cours d’une opération, il mourut à Strasbourg le 22 décembre 1925 et fut inhumé au le cimetière St.Nicolas.

Jean-Pierre Beicht was born on 22.4.1869 in the Grund district of Luxembourg-city. Very early the young man was attracted by music and he also decided very early on to become a professional musician.
