New publications by Roland Wiltgen

Among contemporary composers, the past few months have been marked above all by the publication of a whole series of important works by Roland Wiltgen. Congress for clarinet choir and wind band was commissioned by the Ministry of Culture in 2015, Quasi una fantasia, for solo violin, harp, percussion and strings dates from 1995 and was reviewed in 2009, “après la nuit…”, the concerto for trumpet and string orchestra, was commissioned by the Banque Centrale du Luxembourg. This work was premiered in 2011 at the Echternach Festival by Philippe Schartz, solo trumpet of the BBC Orchestra of Wales, with the European Soloists Luxembourg under the direction of Christoph Koenig. This concerto was recorded for Chandos with the same artists. Orbital Resonances, for symphonic orchestra was  commissioned again by the Ministry of Culture and was created at the Philharmonie de Luxembourg  in 2018 with the same orchestra and the same conductor.

In addition to these compositions for orchestra LMP has also published two works for piano, Couleurs de l ‘amour and In E für P&C, the latter being primarily educational.
