The Ensemble Recherche is delighted to welcome the Luxembourg composer Nik Bohnenberger as its new artistic manager!

Side by side with the musicians of the ensemble, Bohnenberger would like to further develop the overall artistic profile of the internationally renowned ensemble from January 2025:

“In 2019, Recherche embarked on a new path that I would like to continue to pursue and sharpen: using the expertise that the ensemble has built up over the years to enter into an open dialogue with the contemporary music scene and socio-cultural

developments, and in doing so, setting one or two trend-setting accents,” is how Bohnenberger describes his plan.

As artistic manager, Nik Bohnenberger is primarily responsible for the artistic direction of the ensemble, for program planning and the development of artistic concepts, formats and perspectives. Together with the managing director Boglárka Pecze, Bohnenberger will also take over international networking and concert acquisition. Bohnenberger succeeds Paul Clift, who held the ensemble’s artistic management until summer 2024.
