“Domine, salvum fac” by Roland Wiltgen, prize-winner of the composition contest by Sainte-Cécile Choir of Notre-Dame Cathedral, Luxembourg, and Ministry of Culture will shortly be published by LMP.
The new sacred work is written for SATB choir, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, tuba, timpani, and organ. It draws inspiration from the liturgical choral tradition while incorporating a contemporary dimension.
The piece will be performed for the first time during the Te Deum Mass celebrating the accession to the throne of His Royal Highness Grand Duke Guillaume, as part of the official ceremonies. This historic and solemn occasion will see music serve as a bridge between tradition and modernity, at the heart of Luxembourg’s national life.
