Maurizio Spiridigliozzi is a graduate from Folkwang Hochschule Essen in the class of Prof. Mie Miki. Shortly after he became holder of the accordion class at the Music Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg. During his studies at Folkwang, he took analysis courses with Nikolaus A. Huber, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Gerhard Stäbler. At the same time he began studying composition with Alexander Müllenbach and Claude Lenners.
Solo recitals as well as commissions follow one another, notably with the LGNM and contemporary music festivals, i.e. Die Musik im 20. Jahrhundert in Saarbrücken, Internationale Akkordeonwoche in Bienne, World Saxophone Congress in Montreal, World Music Days 2000 in Luxembourg and Hanover, Erasmus and Sokrates European Project. Concerts and creations in Rotterdam, Essen, London, Berlin, Helsinki, Vienna, Metz, Brussels, Beijing, Shengdu and Hong Kong.
